Nursery News- Nursery Ofsted Inspection - July 2011
We had a surprise inspection from Ofsted on Thursday.  It was a surprise becasue we had a combined inspection with school in January 2010 and we were not due for three years.  However an administrative error by Ofsted meant that a computer system had not connected that to our nursery provision.  So we did it all over again!!

The inspector has given us some very good feedback and we will upload the new report as soon as it is published.  It will be an improvement on last time and should be available for parents in approximately one week.

Pre-school Dance and Drama
From September Vicky Jennings will be providing early years dance and drama for pre-shool.  This is aimed at producing a performance for nursery parents at the end of the autumn term 2011.  Vicky is highly qualified and experienced at working with all age groups.

Suggestions and New Developments
In our regular weekly staff meetings we have been reviewing how the new refurbishments have been received by children and parents.  Thank you all for your hugely overwhelming support.  We aim to please and welcome your observations or suggestions.  Please feel free to use the contact sheet to email any of your ideas  or you can use the old fashioned way and put your thoughts in the suggestion box in nursery.  We will include these ideas (anonymously) for discussion in our weekly staff meeting.

Meet the Ducklings and Kevin the Rooster
The nursery children have loved feeding the Rooster and the ducklings,  Kevin can be shy when he is sleepy and has taken to hiding in the bushes for a rest.  The two new ducklings are growing up fast !! They have doubled in size in a week and are showing signs of their new colours.

New Welcome Packs
Your staff in each room have been developing new welcome packs for each room.  We have completed the finial revisions and we hope to upload them on the website for you to download next week.  Links will be placed here as well.
