Admissions

Rivington Park Independent School is not an academically selective school. The admission procedure can be summarised: -

1. An arrangement for parents to meet the Head Teacher, view the school and discuss your childs current educational requirements and the provision available at Rivington Park.
    
2. An informal meeting with your child in the company of parents.
    
3. A consideration of current academic progress which includes (where available) a review of current or latest reports, assessments and testamonials.
    
4. Rivington Park is not selective on the basis of ability but is selective on the basis of behaviour.  No application will be accepted on behalf of a pupil who has been excluded or suspended from a previous school.
    
5. The school reserves the right to undertake CAT3 testing or other assessment where the Head Teacher feels the need to more accurately assess capability.
    
6. Based on a review of all these matters the parent may seek to apply for a place at Rivington Park by completing the Registration Form which is a commitment to admission and an agreement to comply with the school STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
   
7. A non-refundable Registration Fee of £200 is required with the Registration Form.
    
8. The Head Teacher will confirm a place at the school should the application be sucessful. Unsuccessful applicants will be notified and the Registration Fee returned.
    
9. An offer of a place is based on complete disclosure of parents prior to admission in relation to any Special Educational Needs or conduct concerns. Download Induction Day 2011 Information Letter.
