2012 : Reception Places:  Vacancies available (Year prior to Free School Status)
2013:  Reception places:  Oversubscribed (First Year of proposed Free School)
2014:  Reception Places: Three places remain to oversubscription

2012: Year 7 places: Vacancies available (Year prior to Free School Status)
2013: Year 7 places:  Five places available (First Year of Free School Status)
2014: Year 7 places: Three places available

We currently have vacancies in most other year groups Reception through to Year 10 for 2012 and 2013.  However it is apparent that interest is strong for the small classes especially if Free School status is achieved for 2013.

The Steering Group
Rivington Park Independent School has established a Steering Group to evaluate whether the school should submit an application to become an independent Academic Trust.

What this would mean for our community.

• Our small school ethos would be enshrined within the articles of the charitable trust.  That is our commitment to a maximum class size of 14 children, a commitment to an indiviually tailored learning environment and our 4-16yr curriculum.
• The school would be funded by the DfES.  That means that  our school would be a choice for all parents in the local area and would no longer charge fees.
• School would remain non selective.
• Free School status would commence September 2013

We would retain our independent approach to the curriculum and our teaching and learning environment but would be able to make this accessible to all parents regardless of income.  As a school we are excited by this possibility.

Parents - You can help make this happen!

We need evidence that parents would like the opportunity to place their children into this small school environment. To support our application we would need confirmation from parents that they would seek admission on a FREE SCHOOL basis for their child/ children.
